DISTRICT FREISTADT. The Caritas service point for caring relatives in Freistadt invites monthly online meetings with keynote speeches under the title “Wegzehrung”. The next dates are on February 24th and March 31st, starting at 5 p.m.
“Through the exchange, the participants can recharge their batteries and take tips for everyday life from various experts,” says Caritas employee Nadine Tscholl-Jagersberger. Registration is possible up to the day before the event by phone at 0676/87762442 or by email [email protected]. “Due to the limited number of participants, an exchange between the participants and the speaker is possible. Everything that is discussed will of course be treated confidentially. “
The participants only need a smartphone, laptop or tablet and the Internet. The Caritas employees help set up the video conference and are happy to hold a test conference in advance.
24-hour care
The meetings each have a topic on which experts give a keynote speech and are available to answer questions. On Wednesday, February 24th, from 5pm to 6.30pm, the qualified health and nurse Petra Rabl from Diakoniewerk Steyr will speak about 24-hour care. It provides answers to the questions for which care situation this care model is suitable, what must be fulfilled by both sides, what costs are to be expected, whether there are subsidies and what additional tasks the relatives have to do.
Activating Seniors
On Wednesday, March 31st, starting at 5 p.m., social worker Claudia Reininger and qualified social pedagogue and specialist social supervisor Danijela Puljezevic from the Steyr Activation Center will give tips on activating senior citizens. They not only show possibilities of what can be done at home against boredom, but also how to motivate to participate. Participation in the online meeting is free.
