– A case of assaulting the owner of a karaoke room occurred when a government official belonging to the Supreme Court was denied entry due to restrictions on business hours to prevent the spread of a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

The Seoul Seocho Police Department announced on the 18th that it will send A (50s), a government official in the Supreme Court, to the prosecution on charges of assault and fussing with government offices.

Mr. A hit the cheek and kicked a karaoke owner in Seocho-gu, Seoul around 8 pm on the 10th. The reason was that the owner said that he would not accept any more guests due to the 9 PM business hours. Mr. A, who assaulted another customer who was drying up, was taken to the police box by the police dispatched to the scene, but the turmoil continued here. At the time, Mr. A was drunk.

The karaoke owner insisted that Mr. A knelt after the police investigation, saying, “Please see me because I am a high-ranking public servant.” When the owner refused to do this, it was reported that Mr. A changed his attitude and said, “I will put it innocently later”. Mr. A was investigated as a public official with a special position driving the Supreme Court vehicle.

The Supreme Court said, “We are currently grasping the facts and will take strict measures against Mr. A through the disciplinary committee when confirming illegal activities.”
