Jakarta, Selular.ID – Capcom as the developer of Resident Evil is reportedly preparing a Resident Evil series specifically for Nintendo Switch users. According to a leaker named Dusk Golem, Capcom is planning to release a new series titled Resident Evil Outrage at some point in late 2021 or early 2022.
This move looks set to be similar to the Resident Evil Revelations sub-series and was previously slated to be the third entry, in the series internally before being dubbed Outrage instead.
As Radar Games reports, the game is said to be exclusive to Nintendo. This has also been done with the release for the Nintendo 3DS console. Considering how the original Revelations game was released solely for the Nintendo 3DS at first, it makes sense that Outrage would have followed the same pattern as the two games are similar to each other.

If the Dusk Golem’s claim is accurate, then Resident Evil Revelations is being revived under the name Resident Evil Outrage. For those unfamiliar with the series, Revelations is a spin-off series of major number entries, starting in 2012 with timed exclusivity for the Nintendo 3DS, while Resident Evil Revelations 2 launched in 2015 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
With the release exclusively on Nintendo Switch, it’s going to be a very busy 12 months for Resident Evil. As is known, Resident Evil 8 was launched in May 2021 for the current console and the next generation, accompanied by multiplayer Resident Evil: ReVerse. Then a reboot of the Resident Evil film will be released later in September 2021, while Resident Evil Outrage is supposed to launch in late 2021 / early 2022. Additionally, the Netflix series Resident Evil is slated to launch at some point in 2021, so the total Resident Evil Project will released in the next five years.
