La Poste has expressed its desire to close the main post office in the Trois Moulins district in Rezé. Not at all to the taste of the inhabitants of the town who petition on the web and in the field. More than 5,000 signatures were collected in a few days.
The case of Rezé is not isolated, in the south-Loire in Loire-Atlantique, in Bouguenais and in other municipalities, residents and elected officials are standing up against these unilateral decisions.
This Wednesday morning February 16 in Rezé, a few dozen people met in front of the post office to contest this decision.
In this town, all in length and in verticality, there are currently 3 post offices, two of which are located to the north on tram line n ° 3 a few hundred meters away.
“To get from the south to these post offices, residents will have to take one or two buses and as many connections” indicate the petitioners. “La Poste tells us that the parcels would be distributed by tobacconists for example, but the tobacconists in the neighborhood are not accessible to people with reduced mobility. For the elderly it is a loss, and an inequality in the face of postal services “.
La Poste should receive the petitioners during the day.
