Invaders are now playing Madden Football – Hildesheim Invaders

Bob Madden is the name of the new head coach of the Hildesheim Invaders. The 66-year-old American comes from the state of Ohio with a lot of experience. The high school head coach only retired from football after over 30 years last year. Now he’s had enough of the rest and wants to teach his sport in Europe.

Madden first introduced himself to his coaching team and then to the team on Tuesday evening – via video conference. He is currently still in the USA and will be until there is clarity with the corona situation in Germany and den USA there, work with his new force via conference call. “I really want to get started and help the Invaders rebuild,” said the head coach in the team meeting that evening. And immediately made it clear what demands he had on his new players. “His favorite sport requires a lot of discipline and dedication.”

Invaders board member Marcus Ritter and team manager Dominic Mai spent weeks looking for a suitable head coach for young Invaders troops. “It should be an experienced coach who can pass on his expertise to all parts of the team and coaches,” says Ritter. That’s why Madden was the preferred candidate from the start. “The man has already trained every position, has been responsible for attacks and defenses, has a clear plan and knows our situation very well from many conversations,” says Ritter. “From a human point of view, it worked immediately.”

No wonder. Bob Madden has seen and experienced it all in football, has trained numerous young players and paved their way into the top college division (NCAA) and also the National Football League. The man knows how to train young players. He himself has worked as a trainer for the NFL High School Player Development Camps, Nike SPARQ Camps and National Combines – and also for the Ohio State Buckeyes football camps. Madden: “I love discovering and nurturing talent. That is my calling. “

The Hildesheim Invaders have a new head coach: Bob Madden is coming to Hildesheim from Ohio.

Defense is his hobby. That’s why Madden is also becoming the Invaders Defense Coordinator. His defenses were often positioned in the top ten states in the United States.

Madden has been in a relationship with his wife Mary for 46 years, has four children and thirteen grandchildren. The family lives in Auburn. In addition to his football career, Madden has been a successful entrepreneur and has worked as a manager in several companies. Now he wants to go to new shores. For the time being alone, without a family. But that doesn’t have to be the case in the long run, as he himself says.

The Invaders are so grateful that their sponsors made the commitment possible. In particular, Sparkasse Hildesheim Goslar Peine, Holz Schreyer, EVI Energieversorgung Hildesheim and GBG Hildesheim ensured planning security through their early commitments in 2020. Mustafa Sancar, Commercial Director of EVI Energieversorgung Hildesheim: “We promote culture, social projects and sport. We particularly support the diversity in top sport in Hildesheim, and that includes the Invaders. So that it stays fair and exciting in Hildesheim! “
