Microsoft Releases Office App With iPadOS Optimizations – Tablets and Phones – News

Microsoft has updated the Office app for iOS so that from now on native works on iPads. The application in which Word, Excel and PowerPoint come together is therefore optimized for iPadOS.

It is about the general Office app that allows users to create and open Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents. That app had been available for iOS since February last year, but that was an iPhone app that is being enlarged on the iPad.

The new version is in the App Store and is now a native app, optimized for iPadOS, including a better virtual keyboard. Users still need a Microsoft 365 subscription to share and collaborate on documents.

The Office app isn’t the only application for creating Microsoft documents. The company also has separate apps for Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It is not clear what Microsoft’s plan is for those apps. The company has not said it will phase out and the apps have the same functionality as the general app.
