After the success of last year, the MAPFRE Tennis League returns in 2021 with a renewed format in search of the best Spanish tennis players in the challengers male and female that are played in Spain, category tournaments between 50 thousand and 80 thousand dollars.
If the objective of last year was to help Spanish tennis players in their return to competition after the stoppage due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET) now wants to support and give visibility to the players who transit in the second division of world tennis in its leap to the ATP and WTA circuits.
The ranking of the MAPFRE Tennis League to score the Spanish tennis players who compete in the 10 men’s tournaments ATP Challenger scheduled in Spain this 2021, and the Spanish players who participate in the 4 women’s tournaments ITF World Tennis Tour higher category (60 and 80 thousand dollars) of our country.
In search of the best Spaniards in thechallengers
Every Monday following a tournament, the ranking Male or female updated on the RFET website and social networks, and the player who ends the year in No. 1 will receive a prize to be announced soon.
Likewise, each week the player with the most fit of the week in these circuits will be highlighted on social networks, in order to make them known to the general public.
The first scoring tournament for the 2021 MAPFRE Tennis League will be the men’s ATP Challenger that will be held this next week in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
