Meat processors asked retail chains to increase purchase prices for finished products by 10-15%, including sausages and sausages, the Kommersant newspaper reports, citing representatives of retailers.
It is notedthat they justify their requests by the rise in prices for pork and chicken meat.
According to one of the largest meat processors, the cost of a first category broiler carcass is currently 138 rubles per 1 kg. A year ago, the price was 92 rubles.
At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia noted that due to the oversaturation of the market at the beginning of this year, prices for pork and chicken meat fell, so there is no reason to increase purchase prices.
Formerly the head of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina commented on situation with price increases.
Also Chairman of the Board of the Union of Grain Exporters Eduard Zernin commented increase in export duties on wheat.
