The company claims that Honda is the number one two wheeler brand in South India
In 20 years, it has achieved sales of 1.5 crore in South India. The first 75 lakh two-wheelers took 15 years to sell (2001 to 2016) while the second 75 lakh units took only five years (2017 to 2021) to sell. The second phase showed three times the growth. HMSI was launched in 2001.
Yadavinder Singh Guleria, Director, Sales and Marketing, HMSI, thanked Honda for its choice of 1.5 crore customers for travel needs. Honda has become the number one brand in South India after winning the trust of consumers for over two decades. Guleria said it had opened its first dealership nationally and had its largest manufacturing facility in India in South India and that South India was at the heart of Honda.
Yadavinder Singh Guleria said that their two-wheelers are in high demand in South India. South India is the largest contributor to Honda 2 Wheelers’ nationwide sales. The Activa and Dio scooter models are the top selling models every month. There are several premium dealerships operating in South India.
