Hohenahr (dpa / lhe) – Up and down the ski slope with the SUV: The attempt to test the off-road suitability of his car has ended for a drunk driver at a police station. The police in Central Hesse announced on Monday. The 46-year-old was therefore on Sunday in Hohenahr (Lahn-Dill district) with his car up the ski slope, turned and drove back again. The front of the car was then damaged in a bump. The airbags were also triggered. Nevertheless, according to the police, the man drove on until his vehicle finally broke down.

A woman noticed the accident car and she alerted the police and ambulance service. It turned out that the 46-year-old was uninjured, but had been drinking – a breath alcohol test showed almost 2.5 per thousand. At the police station, blood was then drawn and his driver’s license secured.
