The Qalyubia Health Directorate organized reproductive health convoys, under the slogan “Your Right to Organize”, to provide free family planning services and means for women in villages and deprived areas.
Dr. Nawal Omran, Director of the Family Planning Department in Qalyubia, said that the convoys set out and targeted the villages of “Al-Ahraz, Al-Shoubak and Kafr Shebin” under the administration of Shebin Al-Qanater as part of the President’s initiative (A Decent Life).
The Director of Family Planning added that the convoys include fixed and mobile clinics that roam all over the villages, and are targeting the provision of family planning and reproductive health services for women in the age group of 15-49 years.
The convoys also include the provision of obstetrics and gynecology services, ultrasound examination, long-acting means of regulation, internist clinics, children, counseling services, and free family planning, in addition to a campaign to raise awareness of reproductive health and family planning methods and respond to all questions for beneficiaries while addressing all rumors that harm society.
