JAKARTA – Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) determines the Regent For example Muara Juarsah (JRH) as a suspect in the development of a bribery case related to projects at the Muara Enim Regency Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office in 2019.
This was determined, after the KPK concluded that there was a suspicion of corruption in receiving gifts or promises related to projects at the PUPR Office of Muara Enim Regency for the 2019 Fiscal Year.
“Along with the investigation since January 20, 2021, the KPK subsequently named 1 suspect, namely JRH (Juarsah) the Regent of Muara Enim Regency (who is the Deputy Regent of Muara Enim 2018-2020),” Deputy Enforcement Karyoto said at a press conference at the KPK Building, Jakarta, Monday (15/2/2021).

After being named the suspect, Juarsah was immediately detained for investigation for the next 20 days. “For the purpose of investigation, the suspect is subject to the first detention for 20 days counting
from February 15, 2021 to March 6, 2021 at the Class I East Jakarta State Detention Center, KPK Branch, Lot C1, “said Karyoto.
“As an effort to mitigate the spread of Covid 19 in the KPK detention center, the suspect will be isolated independently for 14 days at the KPK Kavling C1 detention center,” he added.
This matter started with the arrest activity on 3 September 2018 and has set 5
the suspects, namely AYN (Ahmad Yani) Regent of Muara Enim Regency 2018-2019, EMM (Elfin MZ Muhtar) Head of the Road Development and PPK Sector at the PUPR Service of Muara Enim Regency.
Then ROF (Robi Okta Fahlefi) private, AHB (Aries HB) Chairman of the Muara Enim Regency DPRD, RS (Ramlan Suryadi) Acting Head of Muara Enim District PUPR Office. The cases of the five suspects were tried and decided at the Palembang Tipikor District Court with a guilty verdict and have permanent legal force.

For JRH’s actions, it is suspected that Article 12 letter a of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning

Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crime as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st KUHP Jo Article 64 Paragraph (1) KUHP and or Article 12B of Law Number 31 Year 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 Year 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 Year 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts Corruption Jo Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st KUHP Jo Article 64 Paragraph (1) KUHP.
