Jakarta, Selular.ID – Phones with 100MP rear cameras have been available for over a year now, and while selfie cameras have gotten an increase too, the highest pixel count for the front cameras is 44MP. However, that might change soon.
According to the leaker, Digital Chat Station, a cellphone with a 100MP selfie camera (read 108MP) will come. Unfortunately, he did not say who the manufacturer was, but it was said that the smartphone was a Chinese manufacturer.
Gizmochina reports that the 100MP selfie camera is very interesting, and the public wants to know how it applies. As is well known the 108MP sensor is quite large and takes up a lot of space on the back of the phone, so putting one in front means that the phone will have a big notch or a big hole.
There are probably two ways to do it without the notches or holes that can be unsightly. The first is through the pop-up design, because this mechanism can be made larger to accommodate a large sensor. The second way is to use a motorized flip camera like the ZenFone 6 and ZenFone 7 from Asus. This method allows users to place a 100MP camera on the back that functions as a selfie camera when reversed.

A front camera smartphone with a 100 MP sensor is expected to launch soon as it is believed that many mobile manufacturers will bring the upgraded device to the fore.
However, the 100MP selfie camera isn’t the only recent news. A report reveals that a phone with a 200MP camera will also arrive this year and the ZTE Axon 30 Pro may be the world’s first phone with a 200MP sensor.
