Before the Disney factory in 1942 sweetened the story of the fawn, the novel Bambi it was published for adult readers in 1923 and later, banned in Germany and Austria by the Nazis. Felix Salten (Budapest, 1869-1945), pseudonym of Siegmund Salzmann, was its author. Bambi, who comes from child (child in Italian), was accused of being an allegory and denunciation of anti-Semitism.
