NEW YORK – One person was killed and another seriously injured after their car rear-ended a parked MTA bus in the Bronx, New York City Police said Sunday.
The incident occurred at a bus stop in the neighborhood of Co-op City shortly after 11:00 pm on Saturday, the uniformed said
The driver of the car, a 20-year-old man, and his passenger were taken to Jacobi Hospital; the passenger was pronounced dead at the hospital, authorities said. The driver was in critical condition. Their names were not immediately released.
The bus driver and two passengers suffered minor injuries, police said.
All refused medical attention.
