GENERAL INFORMATION :
- IgM / IgG antibody tests are indicated for people with probable mild symptoms of COVID19, without risk factors, who are at least 11 days old from the onset of symptoms.
- The rapid test should NOT be performed on people who have not manifested respiratory symptoms in the past 11 days.
- Rapid tests are not indicated in the asymptomatic population.
- Serological tests should not be used for diagnosis.
- The test is performed on blood and is taken SOLO fasting from 7 to 9 am.
- The result of the rapid Covid-19 test is delivered the same day the sample is taken.
- The results are exclusively for medical interpretation, who must provide information related to the self-care measures to be followed.
- The tests we use are of very high quality, validated and approved by INVIMA, we have automated test in analyzer LIVES by method ELFA.
SENSITIVITY AND SPECIFICITY OF ELFA METHOD:
TEST SENSITIVITY :
IgM: 90.6%, or up to 100% depending on the time of onset of symptoms 8-16 days.
IgG: 88.6% to 96.6%, depending on the time of onset of symptoms 8-16 days
TEST SPECIFICITY:
IgM: 99.4% depending on the time of onset of symptoms.
IgG: 99.9%, depending on the time of onset of symptoms.
