The first Arab Mars probe’Amal’ sent by the United Arab Emirates sent a picture of Mars for the first time after settling in orbit.
The Muhammad bin Rashid Space Center, who oversees the UAE’s space program, said, “I sent a picture taken from 24,000 miles above Mars on the 10th, the day after Amal entered Mars orbit.”
The Space Center explained, “A scene was caught where the largest volcano in the solar system,’Olympus Mons’, appeared in the light of the morning sun.
Amal, launched from the Japan Space Center seven months ago and successfully entered Mars orbit on the 9th, plans to perform tasks such as measuring the atmosphere of Mars and observing the surface of Mars.
