In 2000, the general council (now departmental council) of Meurthe-et-Moselle initiated the development of prestigious tourist sites, including the Boucle de la Moselle, which combines the attraction of a remarkable heritage with the discovery of sites natural preserved.
In order to benefit as many people as possible, he worked with the inter-municipal authorities on a bicycle route that fits into the regional scheme of cycle routes and greenways and joins the Charles le Téméraire cross-border route.
Today, the Boucle de la Moselle unrolls its 85 km cycle route, punctuated by three major stages (Nancy, Liverdun and Toul).
