Contagions in decline in UIs 4, from Monday 15 February the vaccination campaign for the 80-year-olds called by letter starts

JESOLO. With the number of infections and hospitalizations reduced for days, the Covid hospital in Jesolo is slowly returning to ordinary activities. The commissioner of the USL 4, Carlo Bramezza, informs: “Today, February 12, they are coming 22 beds in the Covid 1 section are suspended and at the same time medicine is reactivated with the availability of 15 beds”.
“As already done for intensive care – he continues – this section of infectious disease is frozen to be reactivated in case of need within a few hours, although I hope this is no longer necessary. I thank the staff who worked in this area with commitment and sacrifices, but reaping the satisfaction of having obtained one of the lowest mortality rates for Covid in Veneto to date ”.
After the “Covid 4” and “Covid 3” sections, “Covid 1” is therefore suspended, while the “Covid 2” infectious disease section with 27 beds remains active at the Jesolo hospital.
Contagion. On the contagion front, the new positive cases detected today 12 February are 64. The people currently positive to the virus in the 21 municipalities of eastern Veneto are a total of 958 distributed as follows: Annone Veneto 23; Caorle 49; Cavallino Treporti 31; Ceggia 31; Cinto Caomaggiore 24; Concordia Sagittaria 51; Eraclea 56; Fossalta di Piave 17; Fossalta di Portogruaro 36; Gruaro 13; Jesolo 70; Meolo 52; Musile di Piave 47; Noventa di Piave 20; Portogruaro 113; Pramaggiore 31; San Donà di Piave 154; San Michele al Tagliamento 33; San Stino di Livenza 67; Teglio Veneto 14; Tower of Mosto 26.
Vaccines. On Monday 15 February, anti-Covid vaccination will begin for the 80-year-old population (class of 1941 – 2007 people) recalled by post. This is the program: on 15,16,17,18 and 19 February vaccinations in the Ulss 4 clinics in via Girardi in San Donà di Piave; on 18,20,21,22, and 23 February at the ex silos of Portogruaro, on 19, 20 and 22 February at PalaInvent in Jesolo. Elderly people unable to travel due to health problems can be given the vaccine at home with the help of staff from the Integrated Home Care service.
The prevention department is working with the mayors of eastern Veneto to identify and set up other vaccination centers in order to facilitate citizenship membership. General practitioners were also informed to support the organization and patients.
