Mainz / Saarbrücken (dpa / lrs) – After a frosty night, Sunday on the Saar, Rhine and Moselle is a little milder than in the days before. The German Weather Service (DWD) only expects permafrost during the day at high altitudes with maximum values ​​of just under 0 degrees. Occasionally there is a risk of slippery roads due to snow and slush.

The sun often shows itself over the Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate, it remains largely free of precipitation. However, thin clouds of veil should come in from the west in the afternoon. According to the DWD, the maximum values ​​are between minus 2 degrees at high altitudes and 4 degrees at the Moselle and Saar. The meteorologists from Offenbach also say that gusts of about 55 kilometers per hour will blow from time to time, especially in the Saarland and in the ridges of the mountains, until the evening.

Even in the night of Monday it remains largely free of rain. Lowest values ​​are between minus 4 degrees and minus 10 degrees. So it can be slippery on the streets. The week starts on Monday with increasing cloudiness and precipitation, which is sometimes accompanied by snow or freezing rain with black ice. Maximum values ​​are between 0 degrees in the mountainous region and up to 5 degrees in the Saarland.
