Vogt has already drawn up a construction plan for the Bürgerweide, which has been sent to the showmen associations for comment. Further discussions are to follow in the coming week. According to a press release, in addition to a ferris wheel and a wild water slide, various carousels for all age groups are also planned. There should also be a diverse culinary offer. “In order to maintain the minimum distance, the market streets as well as the distances between the shops have been enlarged as planned,” it continues. “The use of the entire Bürgerweide is currently planned for this, in order to have waiting and ordering areas in front of rides and food stands.”
Last autumn, due to the corona pandemic, the Bremen Freimarkt had to be canceled in its conventional form. The replacement event “Freipark” ended prematurely.
