It is reported that the gym was operated on a membership basis and a list of visitors was also written. However, it is also possible that some visitors have not left a record, and the number of related confirmed cases may increase.

According to Guro-gu on the 12th, nine new confirmed cases (#887~895) in the hall are related to Guro-gu’s’Pirate Gym Health Club’. In addition, the number 856 in the hall (positive on the 10th), the 867, 868, 870, and 880 in the hall, and the 1695 in Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do (trained on the 11th) are contact with users of the’Pirate Gymnasium’.

Guro-gu is conducting a thorough examination by classifying contact persons, such as gym staff and members, after the gym user, Guro 856, was first confirmed on the 10th. Guro-gu completed the disinfection work for the gym and issued a closing order.

In a disaster letter sent to residents, Guro-gu requested, “(February) 1-10, users of’Pirate Gym Health Club’ in Oryu-dong, Guro-gu visit nearby public health centers and temporary screening centers to receive a corona 19 test.”

A Guro-gu official said, “While contactors were identified and classified, those who did not leave a record among visitors from the 1st to the 10th (corresponding gym) should undergo a corona 19 test at a screening clinic near a public health center.”

On the 31st of last month, the government decided to maintain the current “social distancing” (2.5 steps in the metropolitan area, 2 steps in the non-metropolitan area) until February 14, but the quarantine regulations for some facilities such as gyms were partially relaxed.

Accordingly, indoor sports facilities such as gyms are limited to one per 8㎡ (approximately 2.4 pyeong), and can be open until 9 pm if the quarantine rules are followed. The gym shower room, which has been banned so far, can be used in a way that the shower booth is floating one by one.
