After a corona outbreak in the Husum slaughterhouse Danish Crown, the number of employees who tested positive has increased to 97. Not all results are available yet.
On Thursday, the health department of the Nordfriesland district carried out corona-PCR tests on 332 people who had recently worked on the grounds of the Husum slaughterhouse. 207 of them are directly with the Danish company Danish Crown, 105 employed by external service providers and 20 employed by the county veterinary office. On Thursday evening, the commissioned laboratory reported 59 positive test results.
Quarantine for everyone
All those who have tested positive are obliged to quarantine at home. According to the district, the health department takes care of the follow-up of the contact persons. In addition, the district is examining whether it is necessary to extend the closure of the slaughterhouse ordered until February 14th.
