For a week now, general practitioners have also been vaccinated against corona in northwest Mecklenburg. Delays in delivery of the Biontech / Pfizer vaccine are affecting the pilot. The general practitioners to whom the serum was delivered were able to administer 144 doses of vaccine in the one week since the beginning. Before that, there was a test phase for about two weeks and the agent has been injected 500 times in general in general practitioners’ practices in Northwest Mecklenburg.

Lower Saxony: Make full use of the vaccine
With immediate effect, seven instead of six vaccination doses can be drawn from an ampoule made by Biontech / Pfizer in Lower Saxony. The NDR found out about this on request from the Ministry of Social Affairs. The federal government has signaled to the states that the filling height of the vaccination doses often allows a seventh dose, said a ministry spokesman. This is due to a slight overfilling of the multiple dose containers in some cases. When using the so-called “7th dose”, however, it must be ensured that at least 0.3 milliliters of the vaccine are actually still present in the respective ampoule. Leftovers from several ampoules should not be mixed.
With immediate effect, a further dose of vaccine can be taken from Biontech / Pfizer ampoules. Remnants should be inoculated. more

Federal government agrees on financial aid for important airports
In the Corona crisis, the federal government wants to support the important large commercial airports in Germany with one-off grants. This provides for a package of measures by the federal government, which the finance and transport ministries agreed on, according to information from the German press agency. The package provides for the federal government to provide a one-time grant to twelve important airports in which it is not involved. According to a paper, these are the airports of Hamburg, Hanover, Münster / Osnabrück, Bremen, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Erfurt, Frankfurt, Leipzig, Nuremberg, Saarbrücken and Stuttgart. Specifically, it is about the reimbursement of costs for keeping airports open at the beginning of the pandemic. For small regional airports, on the other hand, only relief is provided for fees. This also applies to Rostock-Laage Airport in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Rostock-Laage Airport is apparently not receiving any corona aid from the federal government, only larger airports are supported. more

MV advises on the implementation of federal-state resolutions
Starting today at noon, the state government of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania will be discussing the implementation of federal-state resolutions with representatives of municipalities, trade unions and social associations. The video conference is about the timetable for schools and daycare centers after the winter holidays, which will last until next week. Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig (SPD) said yesterday in the state parliament in Schwerin that grades 1 to 6 should return to regular operations after the holidays. The prerequisite is that fewer than 50 corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants were registered in the affected district or urban district in seven days. However, not all regions in the state have reached this value yet, so it is still unclear how things will continue there.
The state government, local politicians and representatives of associations discuss how to deal with the corona pandemic at noon. more

Win-win situation: temporary work in retirement homes
In the Corona crisis, many people are currently unable to work in their actual jobs.
