With the launch M1 Last November, Apple officially started the transition from Intel chips, and it is clear from Intel’s latest advertising campaign that the company feels threatened by Apple’s move.
In advertisements shared on Twitter, Intel pointed to the shortcomings of Apple’s M1 Mac line. An ad this week, for example, highlights the gaming capabilities of Intel chips. Intel calls Rocket League, a game that is not available on the Apple platform.
Announcements from last week highlighted by 9to5Mac indicates the lack of a touch screen on Apple Macs. “Only PCs that offer tablet mode, touch screen, and stylus in one device,” wrote a tweet from Intel.

The Apple M1 chip received a lot of attention when it was launched because of them speed and fuel efficiency, which is incompatible with Intel chips. Earlier this week, Intel launched a series of “carefully designed” landmark designed to prove Intel’s 11th generation processors were better than “M1” chips, but the benchmarks were designed to support Intel machines and described by Apple columnist Jason Snell as “incompatible with the M1”.
Intel’s anti-Apple publicity is likely just getting started, as Apple plans to phase out most of Intel’s chips in two years. Apple is transitioning its entire line of Macs to Apple’s silicon chips, with the MacBook Pro and iMac set to refresh afterwards.
