Regulation of the Organic Law of Telecommunications on the Universal Telecommunications Service – MOORE

In Official Gazette No. 42,059 dated 02/01/2021, Presidential Decree No. 4,429 was published, which aims to regulate the allocation and subsidy of the infrastructure necessary for compliance and control of the Universal Telecommunications Service obligations that are establish for the provision of telecommunications services in affordable economic conditions, with minimum standards of quality, penetration and access to services, in order to promote the social and economic development of the Nation through telecommunications, ensuring the enjoyment of the benefits of the end user, regardless of geographic areas, promoting national integration, maximizing access to information, developing educational and health services and reducing inequalities in access to telecommunications services by of the population. Likewise, through these regulations the structure, administration and control of the Universal Telecommunications Service Fund is regulated.
