Skoda will present the fourth generation Fabia this spring. This is stated in the press release of the Czech brand (available at the disposal of Autonews.ru). Sales of the car in the local market will start in the fall. Prices for the new product will be announced later.
Skoda also published the first teaser image of the future model, which is not very informative. The picture shows a five-door hatchback. The car will receive a large spoiler and LED optics. In general, the appearance of the car can be traced to the similarity with the hybrid concept car Skoda Vision RS, presented in 2018.
Previously, the Fabia hatchback more than once hit the lenses photo spies. As for the station wagon, it will be presented later.
The company has confirmed that the car will be built on the MQB-A0 platform already used in the new Volkswagen Polo, Seat Ibiza and Audi A1. The Fabia is expected to grow in size. Skoda also said that the size of the luggage compartment of the car will increase by 50 liters.
All technical characteristics of the novelty are kept secret. Skoda only said that the front-wheel drive car will be offered exclusively with gasoline engines. The units will work in conjunction with “mechanics” or a seven-stage “robot”. Also, the hatchback will be equipped with advanced safety systems and driver assistance on the road. However, their list has not yet been disclosed.
Most likely, in the future, Fabia may also have a gas modification. However, there is no official confirmation of this information yet. At the moment, Fabia is not officially sold on the Russian market.
