The initiator is Paul Smeets, the youngest professor at Maastricht University and he recently held the chair of Philanthropy and Sustainable Finance of the Elisabeth Strouven Fund. This chair focuses, among other things, on the development of a broader learning environment for philanthropic innovations and collaborations.
