Paul Smeets’ field of research has always been philanthropy. He also conducts research into citizens’ motives for donating to wealth-raising funds. He tries to find ways to improve the well-being of citizens in the region by increasing the impact per euro donated.

In the first episode of the new video series, Smeets’ team visits a music education project financed by the Elisabeth Strouven Fund. His research team will evaluate the effect of the music education program on the development of the children.
