School group is tired of the threatening language of parents: ‘We do not require corona test or vaccination’

A number of parents of children who attend one of the 28 primary schools of the INOS school group in Breda have sent ‘inappropriate and sometimes threatening’ letters and emails to the school management. “We think that is very inappropriate and we therefore reject this”, the INOS responds in a letter. The parents accuse the school group of requiring students to test, conduct rapid tests and organize vaccinations.

This is evident from an email from the school group addressed to the parents, which Omroep Brabant has seen.

Parents climbed into the pen after the school umbrella sent a letter on Thursday explaining national quarantine rules for primary education. It stated that with one infection in a class, all students must be quarantined for five days.

After this, parents have a choice:

Primary schools were only allowed to reopen on Monday under these new conditions.

‘Choice of parents’
“Still, our schools are receiving letters and emails from parents assuming that the school would require students to test, perform rapid tests or organize vaccinations.” The umbrella writes in a letter to the parents that this is not correct. “Whether you have your child tested or vaccinated is and remains a choice of the parents. We always respect your choice and play no role in it.”

Parents would also ask INOS to sign documents about testing and vaccination. That is not going to happen, says the school group, and she asks parents not to ask the schools about this anymore.

Despite several requests from Omroep Brabant, INOS has not yet given any further explanation about the letter.
