The Nord, Pas-de-Calais, Somme and Aisne are also placed in orange vigilance “Great cold”.

Finally, Charente-Maritime is still on “flood” orange vigilance.

The first snowflakes began to fall on Brittany at the end of the morning. The snowfall continues to progress east and north of the country.

Over the entire snowfall, until Wednesday afternoon, we wait: 5 to 10 centimeters in Brittany, 2 to 7 cm in Ile-de-France, even very locally up to 8-10 cm. Further east, it is expected 5 to 10 cm towards the north of Bas-Rhin and 10 to 15 cm for Doubs, Haute-Saône, Vosges, Territoire de Belfort, Haut-Rhin and south of Bas-Rhin.

Between 1 and 3 centimeters could also fall on certain areas of Hauts-de-France, but it is above all a cold episode that is reported by Météo-France in this region.

It will also be cold, especially in Normandy or the Paris region, with temperatures felt between -10 and -15 ° C on Wednesday and Thursday.

The mayor of Paris also called on the government on Monday to trigger the “extreme cold” plan which allows in particular the accommodation of the homeless.
