We have seen a decree published very late on February 8, retiring three judges of the Court of Cassation. We are deeply concerned about any action that risks undermining Haitian democratic institutions. In the meantime, all political actors should concentrate on restoring to the Haitian people their right to choose their legislators by the organization of legislative elections which are already late, as soon as technically possible, then by the organization of presidential elections shortly after.
