It’s not just Covid-19 that kills in the United States, and the Chicago rap scene is seeing its members fall like dominoes. 6 months after the shooting death of FBG Duck and 6 weeks after that of King Von, shot dead in front of a club in Atlanta, it is the cousin of the 1st, BCR Meezle, who lost his life during a party organized at the Indian Lakes Hotel in Bloomingdale, Illinois. According to the 1st information reported by the Chicago Sun-Times, the shooting would have taken place on the night of Friday 5 to Saturday 6 February. The police received a call around 2:35 a.m. local time. When they arrived there, several men were bleeding and shot. Urgently taken to St. Alexius Hospital in Hoffman Estates in critical condition, BCR Meezle was pronounced dead at 3:16 a.m. He was only 27 years old.

The causes of the shooting
Bloomingdale’s public safety director Frank Giammarese said at least 6 men were affected in the attack. According to him, the genesis of the shooting was part of a conflict between two distinct groups staying at the hotel. “I don’t know if it’s a party, I don’t have all these details but there were 2 groups of people and something happened and that’s where the shooting took place, mostly in the hotel corridors.” The mayor of Bloomingdale, Franco Coladipietro, accuses him of the blow, attacking in particular the security agents: “The unfortunate incident that occurred this morning could have been avoided if security had been present as the First Hospitality Group had promised during our meetings”.
