Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the legend of Al-Ahly club and its president, thanked his counterpart in Bayern Munich, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, for what he described as the excellent cooperation between them.
Rummenigge appeared in more than one press and television interview during the past few days to speak with appreciation and respect about Al-Ahly Club and its president, Mahmoud Al-Khatib.
Al-Ahly, the African champion, clashed with European champions Bayern Munich in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup in a match that the German team decided in its favor with two clean goals, amid a distinguished defensive performance from the Egyptian giant.
Al-Khatib congratulated Rummenigge on the successes he is achieving in the current period locally, continually and internationally, noting that he leads a professional work system that possesses all the ingredients for success and excellence.
Al-Khatib indicated in an official statement from Al-Ahly Club that he has a good relationship with Rummenigge, since the relationship was strengthened during the Al-Ahly legend’s visit to Munich in recent years to learn about the success of the Bavarian system led by Karl.
Al-Khatib thanked Rummenigge for his upscale talk about Al-Ahly on the sidelines of the two teams’ confrontation in the FIFA Club World Cup semi-finals, expressing his happiness with the wonderful relationship with one of the world’s biggest clubs.
