Jon Rahm, second in the world classification, maintained his consistency at the Phoenix Open with a round of four birdies, three achieved in the second half, and bogey on the par of the sixth hole that was going to leave him with a signed card of 68 hits (-3) to add 271 hits (-13).

Rahm moved up three spots to finish thirteenth, which he shared with three other players, including American Justin Thomas – third in the world rankings – who dropped eight.

American Brooks Koepka was the winner of the Phoenix Open, on the PGA Tour, completing the fourth and final round with a signed card of 65 strokes (-6) to add 265 (-19).

The new champion beat his compatriot Xander Schauffele, who started the day as leader, and South Korean Kyoung-Hoon Lee who added 266 (-18).

In terms of the world golf rankings, American Dustin Johnson, who won this week in Saudi Arabia, strengthened his leadership. Jon Rahm remains in second place and another American, Justin Thomas, is in third place.

Johnson now has a cushion of more than 3.5 points of average of advantage over Rahm, reason why the more than one hundred weeks in front of the world-wide classification will be increased.

Thomas’ thirteenth place in Phoenix barely allows him to narrow the gap slightly to Rahm from Biscay, who remains the only non-Anglo player in the top fifteen.
