[사회]3 additional people infected with mutant virus from overseas confirmed… Cumulative 54 people

Three more people were infected with the mutant virus, which is known to have a stronger spread than the existing Corona 19.

The Central Defense Countermeasure Headquarters said, “As a result of analyzing a total of 77 cases, including 65 cases of domestic outbreaks and 12 cases of overseas inflows since February 3, 3 mutant viruses were identified only in cases of overseas inflows.

All three newly identified are Koreans, and were found to have been infected with a mutant virus originating in the UK.

All of them were confirmed in the quarantine phase, with one departure from Hungary, Poland, and Ghana.

Daebon Bang said that none of the people in contact with them were infected with the mutant virus.

However, two passengers who used the same aircraft as the infected person, who sat in adjacent seats, were confirmed to be corona 19, and are currently being tested for mutant infection.

As three more people were discovered this time, the number of confirmed cases of mutant virus infection in Korea increased to 54.

Meanwhile, additional test results have not yet been released regarding the case of group infection with relatives of Syrians in Gyeongnam and Jeonnam.

As the number of mutant infections increases, the government will mandate the submission of a’negative confirmation’ for a gene amplification test for all arriving from Africa, including Koreans, starting on the 22nd, and a PCR test at temporary living facilities after entering the country.

Also, starting on the 15th, it is planned to make it mandatory for those exempted from quarantine to submit a voice confirmation letter upon entry.
