Thanks to an ultimately sovereign 2-0 win in “Le Classique” against Marseille, which has now been victorious for six league games, Paris St. Germain has caught up with Lille and Lyon. After two early goals for PSG, OM was rarely able to put the defending champions in danger.

PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino switched to five positions on Wednesday after beating bottom Nimes 3-0: instead of Dagba, Kehrer, Bakker, Sarabia and Kean, Florenzi, Marquinhos, Kurzawa, Verratti and Icardi started. Neymar, suspended on Wednesday, sat on the bench after gastrointestinal problems.
Icardi hits with the neck
In the first leg between the two teams in Paris on September 13th there was not only a 1-0 away win for OM, but also a wild game with twelve yellow cards and five dismissals. That shouldn’t happen in the second leg. In the balanced opening minutes, both teams tried to discipline and avoid mistakes. After a first corner kick for OM, Paris came through a counterattack with lightning speed over the stations Icardi, Verratti, since Maria finally executed Mbappé to 1-0 (9th).
OM came up a little better in the middle of the first half and had two good shot chances through Rongier and Gueye (22nd, 33rd). But instead of equalizing it was 2-0 shortly afterwards. Duel Neymar and Alvaro again with consequences
