1. Not sharing important information on WhatsApp
WhatsApp has launched its new privacy policy which allows companies to access more details than ever before. Although the company ensures they will not read users’ messages, it is better to avoid sharing confidential information on WhatsApp.
2. Enable two-step verification
Inevitably, there are a number of WhatsApp users complaining about the experience being hacked. To avoid this, users can activate two-step verification on WhatsApp.
Using this feature, users will not only be asked to fill in the OTP when setting up their WhatsApp account on the new smartphone, but they will also be asked to enter a six-digit pin.
How to activate it in the following way: Go to WhatsApp Settings> Account> Two-Step Authentication.
3. Use the default WhatsApp application lock
Whats App users can further increase application security by activating the application lock feature. To do that, users only need to head to WhatsApp Settings> Account> Privacy> Screen Lock.
4. Activate WhatsApp Web lock
