Battlefield 6 will receive a separate free mode, a standard battle pass, and an updated destruction system. This was announced by the author of TheLongSensation channel Tom Henderson.
According to an insider, the free mode is likely to be a separate “battle royale” – similar to Call of Duty: Warzone. The author of the video noted that this is unconfirmed information, but EA and DICE were interested in developing this direction in the summer of 2020.
Henderson also revealed that Battlefield 6 will have a more advanced destruction system. Buildings will no longer fall according to the same patterns – this process will depend on the damage done to the building. In addition, DICE has abandoned scripted destruction.
In the next part of Battlefield, the developers will introduce an expanded system of squads, which will now be included in platoons. The classes available to players will remain the same: attack aircraft, engineer, scout and support fighter.
Earlier, EA chief Andrew Wilson said that the developers of the new Battlefield will talk more about the game in the coming months. The shooter is expected to have some of the biggest battles in the series’ history. The release of the game is scheduled for late 2021. According to an insider, the title will support full crossplay.
