Julia Klöckner’s Twitter faux pas causes malice and ridicule

It has long been part of everyday life that criticism of the actions of the political opponent is no longer only expressed in interviews or heated (TV) debates, but also in social media. This is what Lilly Blaudszun (19) did on Friday afternoon – she is often referred to as the “social media miracle weapon of the SPD”. Target of the Twitter attack: Federal Minister of Agriculture Julia Klöckner (48, CDU). So far, so unexciting. However, the rather unsuccessful reaction of Klöckner – or her social media team – causes malice and ridicule.

But first things first: “Julia Klöckner is a real total failure as Agriculture Minister. Instead of making agriculture fit for the future and more sustainable and offering people a secure perspective, it continues to block ”, tweeted Blaudszun and linked to an article in the news magazine“ Der Spiegel ”.

The answer was not long in coming, more precisely only seven minutes, as a screenshot shows, which the SPD politician also published on Twitter. He shows the answer from Klöckner’s account to the original tweet, it says: “We saw it, but whether we should help this young SPD woman to attract attention – let the ball roll out …” it says. Certainly not a notice intended for the general public.

“When even your own ministry doesn’t feel like you anymore”

A hit for the social media affine Blaudszun, who, to stay in the language, picked up the ball and pocketed the penalty: “As long as you don’t let the ball roll out during the social-ecological transformation, @JuliaKloecknerThe 19-year-old tweeted.

And shortly thereafter followed the next direct hit: “The moment when even your own ministry is tired of you and your retrograde politics”, she wrote to another screenshot that shows that the official account of Klöckner’s Ministry of Agriculture Blaudszun’s Klöckner-critical Original tweet had retweeted.

A short time later, Blaudszun tweeted: “I would be happy if the biggest problem occurred @JuliaKloeckner their social media department would be. She makes ecologically irresponsible politics, does not do justice to the major tasks of her department and probably has more contact with lobbyists than with her employees. ”And shared a GIF on the comment“ The ball that Julia Klöckner’s social media team wanted to roll out ” that speaks for itself:

The tweet that had triggered all the malice was meanwhile quickly deleted, probably a lapse from Klöckner’s social media team. Incidentally, Klöckner or her Twitter team did not address the mishap. In return, their followers could look forward to two fairly substantial messages from the Agriculture Ministers’ Conference.
