From the Autobahn to the seven seas. Daniel Roesner was seen on “Alarm für Cobra 11” for four years. Now he’s changing saddles, from car to ship, from commissioner to captain.

It was a hit with “Alarm für Cobra 11”. From 2016 to 2019, actor Daniel Roesner played the role of Commissioner Paul Renner. After 73 episodes in which the autobahn was his territory, he took off the gas. He and his girlfriend Cara Sophie moved to Tenerife in November 2020. There he is now training to become a ship captain.
“I’m doing a captain’s training for sailing ships. Here there is a compact training in four months,” reveals the actor in an interview with the “Bild” newspaper. Because this “compact training” is significantly shorter than the usual two years of school desk and school ship.
He fulfills this dream with the money he has put aside. In addition, the costs in Tenerife are low because the couple lives in a converted van instead of in a hotel or apartment. His days on the Spanish island are also characterized by training, learning and kite surfing, as he reveals to the paper.
The former TV commissioner also shares insights from his everyday life as a trainee with his almost 80,000 followers on his Instagram profile. So you can see him on board a small ship or when calculating courses. “In case you’re wondering what else I do besides sailing,” he writes about a photo in which he is sitting at a table and has a map in front of him.
The couple will stay in Tenerife until March. Then the two of them should go back to their German homeland and Roesner would like to be in front of the camera again.
