After taking the measure of FC Liège (0-2) in the Belgian Cup this Wednesday, Vincent Kompany and his troops go to Genk this weekend.
Vincent Kompany can count on an almost complete nucleus for the game in Genk. “In principle, everyone will be back,” said the T1 Anderlecht which therefore relies on Trebel, Diaby or Cullen. Only Hendrik Van Crombrugge, Yari Verschaeren and Elias Cobbaut are not yet ready.
Kompany had said that there would be a new nine-game competition on the road to the top 4. And it starts tomorrow in Genk. “We are ready for this difficult trip against a quality team. For them too, it is a new starting point. But I am especially concerned about the way in which we are going to manage the match,” said the club coach from Brussels.
Would playing against a team offering positive football and playing the game be more suitable for Anderlecht? “It’s hard to say but on the one hand, given our results against the big teams, we have been up to the task. Above all, we will have to be more efficient than in recent weeks in order to score goals more easily”, Kompany concluded.
