Thursday NBA summary: Portland surprised Philadelphia

Dallas Mavericks 116 – 147 Golden State Warriors: the Mavericks played one of their worst games of the season and were completely outscored from the second half by some Warriors who had Kelly Oubre Jr. as the top figure with 40 points (the highest of his career) and 8 rebounds.

Atlanta Hawks 91 – 112 Utah Jazz:the Jazz clearly dominated their rival, who did not have Trae Young, and easily beat him. Great collective performance of those from Utah who had 23 points from Jordan Clarkson, 21 from Bogdanovic and a double-double from Rudy Gobert (12/11).

Philadelphia 76ers 105 – 121 Portland Trail Blazers: the surprise of the night was Portland’s resounding victory over the Sixers despite not having Lillard, McCollum, Jones or Nurkic. 24 points from Gary Trent Jr. 22 from Carmelo Anthony, 17 points and 18 rebounds for Enes Kanter and more players took the team on their shoulders to beat one of the best teams in the NBA. Joel Embiid’s 37 were of no use in this defeat.

Memphis Grizzlies 103 – 115 Houston Rockets: good victory for Houston, who is not very happy due to an injury suffered by one of his important players, Christian Wood, in his right ankle. I find that Rockets dominated with ease and without suffering any shocks. 8/22 for John Wall who was the game’s top scorer and assistant.

Los Angeles Lakers 114 – 93 Denver Nuggets: halves game at Staples Center. In the first two quarters, Denver had a 12-point lead (58-46), but a second half with sets of 37-17 and 31-18 changed the entire result. Great game from LeBron James, who was left with a triple-double of 27 points, 10 rebounds and the same assists. A big bad news was the injury of Facundo Campazzo. The Argentine suffered a discomfort in his right knee and news is expected to know what happened to him.
