Palace Doesn’t Want to Reply AHY’s Letter, Democratic Politician: Pak Jokowi Want to Wash Hands? All pages

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Politicians Democratic party Rachland Nashidik criticized President Joko Widodo’s attitude of not replying to the letter from the General Chairman of the Democrat Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).

“Pak Jokowi wants to wash his hands? If so, he shouldn’t,” said Rachland when contacted Kompas.com, Friday (5/2/2021).

He assessed that the President did not necessarily ignore the letter sent by AHY.

The President, according to Rachland, needs to reply to the letter to give a strong signal that the practice of forcibly taking over political parties is not the right thing.

“The president should give a strong message that the practice of forcibly taking over political parties is wrong and bad,” he stressed.

He also reminded that the practice of forced takeovers not only happened to Democrats, but also happened to PDI-P, the party from Jokowi, some time ago.

According to him, such actions are a form of political relics of the past.

“Therefore, the President should not tolerate the same political practices or imitate those of his own men,” Rachland explained.

Furthermore, Rachland emphasized that his party would not feel disadvantaged if President Jokowi choosing to take refuge behind the riddle of his attitude.

Only, he hopes the President can be kept away from doubts and confusion in politics.

“On the other hand, a strong and dignified decision must be chosen. Not only to protect democracy. But also to honor Palace, “added Rachland.

Previously, Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno said that his party would not answer the letter from AHY addressed to Jokowi.

The letter was related to the issue of taking over AHY’s leadership, which allegedly involved important officials in the President’s close circle and dragged the name of the Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Moeldoko.

“So we have received the letter, and we don’t think we need to answer the letter,” said Pratikno, via the Presidential Secretariat YouTube broadcast, Thursday (4/2/2021).

Pratikno said his party would not answer AHY’s letter because it contained the internal dynamics of the Democratic Party.

“Because it is a matter of internal party dynamics, it is about the internal house date of the Democratic Party, all of which have been regulated in the AD / ART (Articles of Association and Bylaws),” he said.
