The Nördlinger city council deals with current income and expenses. What’s different this year.
FromMartina Bachmann
The city’s financial situation has deteriorated significantly
Nördlingen. Treasurer Bernhard Kugler said at the last meeting of the main and finance committee: “We had to adjust our expectations downwards.” At the beginning of 2020, it was still expected that around six million euros could be generated for investments this year – the so-called Allocation to the asset budget – Kugler is currently only assuming around 1.2 million euros.
Corona: Nördlinger Kämmerer assumes significantly lower trade tax
Kugler expects a significant minus of 2.5 million euros, particularly in terms of trade tax. In the financial planning were before
Corona Including 17.5 million euros in income from this tax, the combing department is now assuming 15 million euros. The pandemic is also consistently noticeable in income tax: instead of 12.991 million euros, only 12.246 million euros should now flow into the coffers. The situation is similar with sales tax. In addition, because things went well in Nördlingen two years ago, the city will not receive any key assignments this year – last year they were around one million euros. According to the current status, Nördlingen will have to pay around 13.9 million euros to the district in 2021. If you compare the current expenses, this is the largest item – for the first time, as Kugler emphasized. Otherwise, personnel expenses always had the greatest impact.
PWG parliamentary group chairman Helmut Beyschlag said: “I assume that there is not much air in the administrative budget.” Then Lord Mayor David Wittner replied rather dryly: “If there was any, then we have already let them out.” They would be happy to speak to them again hold, but have checked everything several times.
