The Coclesano team had a partial advantage, 33-30, in the first half, but Estelí made a run of 22 points against 12 of the Horses, to take the lead.
Ernesto Oglivie scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Michael Hicks contributed 15 points for the representative of Panama.
Jezreel De Jesús and Renaldo Balkman scored 20 points each for the Nicaraguan team.
Los Caballos will play their next match of the tournament, on Thursday, February 4, against the Titanes de Barranquilla at the Alexis Argüello Sports Center from 9:10 pm (Panamanian time).
