Instagram Develops Vertical Feed Stories Like TikTok

Jakarta: Instagram took inspiration about short video format content from TikTok, and presented a feature titled Reels. Now, Instagram is reportedly developing another TikTok-inspired feature.

Instagram announced that it is in the process of testing a Tiktok-like vertical feed for Instagram Stories, a Snapchat-inspired feature. Citing Phone Arena, Alessandro Paluzzi was the first to discover this new feature.

The screenshot uploaded by Paluzzi reveals a fairly simple user interface (UI), informing users of the new ability to scroll vertically to view Stories.

Instagram, which has confirmed the development of this feature, is expected to plan to prioritize videos over photos in the future. This is the background for the updates he made to Stories.

Instagram boss Adam Mosseri recently implied that Reels and IGTV videos could be combined into a single content format along with regular videos. This is because users are considered unable to know the difference between these video formats.

Previously, the popular social media Instagram has just released a new feature that will soon be rolled out to users on iOS and then Android and can be used by unstable users who often make posts but then they are deleted.

This feature is named Recently Deleted which has a function similar to a photo or video gallery on a smartphone. As the name implies, this feature will save Instagram content that users have just deleted. The content in this feature section will still be stored for 30 days before being permanently deleted.
