Play theater
Children just like to dress up and love role play. They also learn on the side. We encourage this by providing them with a real stage with all the trimmings: with costumes, masks, props, backdrops, mirrors – as well as light and technology.
For us, acting is more than just putting a play on stage. It is quite simply part of everyday life – both in the morning circles and in the core pedagogical time.
In the afternoons, for example, there are diverse projects in the large movement area and on our stage. There, one of our educators, who is both an educator and an actor, offers a theater workshop every day. Here the journey is the goal: inventing stories and improvising. Above all, it is the process of play that is important – the experience and the experiences the children have in it. Sometimes a play is created by the way.
Once a year the children then work out their own piece. You will be instructed by a theater pedagogue together with an educator. It is primarily about the children saying goodbye to daycare and what they take with them to school from there.
