KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Through its official Weibo page, Huawei announced the presence of its newest folding screen cellphone, the Huawei Mate X2. This latest generation folding cellphone will launch on February 22.
The launch of the Huawei Mate X2 two years after its predecessor, Mate X, which the Chinese technology company officially introduced to the public in February 2019.
Mate X is one of the pioneers of commercially sold folding screen phones, of course after Samsung with its flagship Galaxy Fold.
Regarding specifications, so far several leaks have revealed that the Mate X2 screen will have a maximum size of around 8 inches when opened.
Quoted from GSM Arena, the large screen is capable of presenting a resolution of up to 2480 x 2222 pixels. When folded, there is an additional screen measuring about 6.4 inches.

The Huawei Mate X2 screen supports it refresh rate at the 90Hz level. All thanks to the support of Samsung and BOE screen panels.
Regarding performance, Huawei Mate X2 is likely to use chipset Kirin 9000 5G as the brain. Also complete with a 4,400 mAh capacity battery and support fast charging 66W.
No less interesting are the rumors of the system’s presence quad camera on this cellphone. Each is said to have a resolution of 50 MP (wide), 16 MP (ultrawide), 8 MP (telephoto), as well as one 12 MP lens. For selfie needs, there is a 16 MP lens on duty.
Other complementary features such as NFC, 5G connection, USB Type C, as well hybrid dual SIM is also said to be present. Unfortunately, Huawei Mate X2 is reportedly still relying on the Android 10 operating system.
