Today (February 2nd) the Freiburg regional council sent the Breisgau building association a decision with a grant of over 682,000 euros for the new construction of the kindergarten on Fliederweg in Herbolzheim.
The new kindergarten offers 20 additional places for children under three years of age and 60 new places for children over three years of age up to school enrollment. We also sponsored kitchen furnishings. The funds come from the federal government’s newly launched “Childcare 2020-2021” investment program.
District President Bärbel Schäfer was delighted: “The compatibility of family and work is very important to me. With this new kindergarten, the care offer for children of preschool age in Herbolzheim will be significantly improved. ”In addition, especially now in the Corona crisis, it is becoming clear how important good child care offers are for both children and parents.
With expected total costs of almost 6 million euros, the subsidy for Bauverein Breisgau as the builder of the kindergarten is an important part of the financing.
