Shortly before 11 p.m., witnesses observed how the man, obviously intoxicated, got into an Audi on Hechinger Stillfriedstrasse and drove off. According to initial investigations, he damaged a parked Ford Focus.
Police measure 2.5 per mil
The Audi could be stopped and checked in the area of the Stettener Halde through an immediately initiated manhunt with several patrol car crews and another witness reference to the abnormal driving style of the car. The driver was clearly under the influence of alcohol. A first test showed a preliminary value of over 2.5 per thousand, which is why the 42-year-old had to give a blood sample and his driver’s license.
